We’ve been supplying quality furniture to the events and hospitality industries for over 10 years ….
Back in 2010 we owned a newly established hire company which supplied quality furniture for events including weddings, conferences, exhibitions and corporate events.
The business was a success, demand increased and we were keen to expand the ranges of furniture we could offer our clients.
However the choice of furniture available was limited.
The get the furniture we needed for the business we decided to go direct to the makers. With a great amount of hard work, many samples and a lot of factory visits the hard work paid off and we were fortunate to partner with some fantastic furniture manufacturers that we could count on to supply us with event furniture that not only looked great, was comfortable but that was durable and would withstand the rigors of the hire industry.
The hire business went from strength to strength.
Soon the quality and style of our furniture was being recognised by other companies in the events industry and we were asked to source and supply products for other businesses in the events space, including hotels, wedding venues and marquee companies.
After a number of years sourcing and supplying more and more furniture for businesses in the events and hospitality industries Jollies was launched in 2020 – bringing all our furniture options and experience together under one banner.
Whilst the number of manufacturers we work with has grown, what hasn’t changed is the rigorous processes we use to source and assess the manufacturers we work with. The methods we use today are the same that we developed to find our very first manufacturer and there are some keys areas that we won’t compromise on:
1 – We always work directly with all our manufacturers, no middlemen or agents – this allows us to keep our quality control high and offer our customers exceptional value for money.
2 – We will only partner with manufacturers who can demonstrate that they are committed to responsible manufacturing. All our manufacturers are audited to demonstrate a commitment to continual improvement in the working conditions in their supply chain – read more here
3 – Where manufacturers use wood to produce our furniture we ensure that those manufacturers follow the FSC chain of custody.
